There's always plenty to do with the kids at the beach, but here's a few additional ideas :
Flashlights on the beach at night :
Kids love flashlights! On our wide, open beaches you can find all kinds of fun creatures crawling on the beach when the sun goes down...when you put a light on the little crabs, they go crazy...look out!! Of course you can get flashlights anywhere, but we've got 'em, too and cheap.
Shovels (We mean real shovels) :
OK, the plastic shovels that come with the beach toys work, but if you want to get the kids really jazzed (and worn out), get 'em a couple of real shovels...short, small ones with wooden handles. Diggin' holes and making sand castles will never be the same!! We're renting those "right size" shovels now...dig in.
Metal Detectors (We mean the kind that finds buried treasure)
Now that the kids have their toys, there's no reason to vacation in the nations oldest city without a good toy for the adults. Our beaches boast hundreds of years of buried treasure, so come and look for your share of the booty. It's great fun and who knows... it may even pay for your vacation !
